Surfer Tunes

Before hangin' 10 became a national craze in the 1960s, famed surfer and filmmaker Bruce Brown took a group of hardy long-boarders to discover virgin territory on Mexico's Pacific coast. Besides going South of the Border, this 1959 documentary follows Brown and his band of waver riders, including Joey Cabell and Donald Takayama, to California's Rincon and Cottons beaches and to Hawaii's Waimea Bay and Sunset Beach.
